Liberty & Co, Japanese carved arts & crafts table (circa 1905)

A charming two tiered Japanese carved Arts & Crafts table for Liberty & Co circa 1900-1910. With sunflower motif carving to both shelves and standing on four carved legs. In very good condition with good colour and patina.  These tables were imported from Japan by Liberty & Co as part of their oriental theme circa 1900

It has been hand carved from top to bottom with floral detailing - This type of design came in a range of variations, including plant stands, chairs and tables. 

On the underneath of the upper and lower table is marked in ink the number 123 which was used to assist in the assembly when it arrived in the Regent Street store. Natural colour variations in the wood. Wear consistent with age and use. Hand waxed - see pictures for details.
